General Use

EBSCO Academic Search Premier
A database that offers full-text and abstract-level access to more than 8,000 periodicals (magazines and scholarly journals).  

Credo General Reference 

This service feature full-text, aggregated content from hundreds of reference books covering every major subject.  

The Chronicle of Higher Education
Source of news, information, and jobs for college and university faculty members and administrators.

Electric Library
Offers full-text access to articles from magazines, newspapers, and various reference publications, as well as television and radio transcripts and photographs.

InfoTrac Professional Collection
Provides full-text access to more than 300 periodicals. Primarily useful in finding information on education and related topics.

JSTOR
Established in 1997, JSTOR's first collection includes core journals in economics, history, political science, and sociology, as well as in other key fields in the humanities and social sciences. This collection also contains titles in ecology, mathematics, and statistics. Overall, there are 119 titles in fifteen disciplines.

ProQuest Newspapers
An index to the articles appearing in more than 400 national and international newspapers, including the Minneapolis Star Tribune.

EBSCO MegaFILE
EBSCO MegaFILE is comprised of the complete content and functionality of the following databases: MasterFILE Premier, Academic Search Premier, Business Source Premier and Regional Business News. When using the database, just remember many of your results will be business-oriented. 

Psychology

PsychArticles
PsycARTICLES is a database of full-text articles from journals published by the American Psychological Association, the APA Educational Publishing Foundation, the Canadian Psychological Association, and Hogrefe Publishing Group.

Science/Biology

Elsevier Science Direct (Health and Life Sciences)
Provides full-text access to over 890 high-quality scientific and technical journals, in such areas as nursing, medicine, pharmacology, and the environmental and biological sciences.  

Arguments/Debates/Controversial Issues

Opposing Viewpoints Resource Center
A one-stop source for information on today's hottest social issues. Drawing on acclaimed series published by Greenhaven Press and other Thomson Gale imprints, OVRC features viewpoint articles, topic overviews, full-text magazine and newspaper articles, primary source documents, statistics, images and podcasts, and links to websites.

Points of View Reference Center
Points of View Reference Center™ is a full-text database designed to provide students with a series of essays that present multiple sides of a current issue. The database provides more than 270 topics, each with an overview (objective background/description), point (argument), counterpoint (opposing argument), and Critical Thinking Guide.

CQ Researcher
Provides in-depth, non-biased coverage of current political and social issues. A great resource for "controversial topics" assignments. 

CQ Researcher Global
Similar to CQ Researcher but reports are specifically focused on global issues within the last five years.

EBSCO Literary Reference Center
Literary Reference Center (LRC) is a comprehensive literary reference database that combines information from over 1000 books and monographs, major literary encyclopedias and reference works, hundreds of literary journals, and unique sources not available anywhere else. LRC contains detailed information on the most studied authors and their works. 

Art

ARTstor
ARTstor is a digital library of nearly one million images in the areas of art, architecture, the humanities, and social sciences, with a set of tools to view, present, and manage images for research and pedagogical purposes.

Oxford Art Online
Oxford Art Online is the most comprehensive online reference source for all aspects of the visual arts worldwide from prehistory to the present day. Oxford Art Online features over 45,000 signed articles, 5,500 images, 40,000 image links, timelines of world art, MoMa lesson plans, as well as access to the full text of the Encyclopedia of Aesthetics, the Concise Oxford Dictionary of Art Terms, and the Oxford Companion to Western Art.

Incorporates 75 regional business publications covering the larger metropolitan areas in the United States. 

Nursing

CINAHL Plus with Full Text
CINAHL Plus with Full Text is an expanded version of the original CINAHL (Cumulative Index to Nursing & Allied Health Literature) database. It provides authoritative coverage of the full text for more than 560 journals related to nursing and allied health, and it also indexes publications of the American Nurses Association, the National League for Nursing, and selected journals in the areas of consumer health, biomedicine, and health sciences librarianship.
