March 8th, 7:30pm-9:00pm Room CLA 120 Living Life with Mental Illness, Domestic Abuse and Sexual Violence Carol LaFleur One student's story of resilience and survival through mental illness, domestic abuse and sexual violence.
March 9, 12:00pm-12:40pm Room ES 36 You are Not Alone: Mental Helath Needs of NHCC Students Sue Smith, MA LMFT, Counselor, NHCC This workshop will review a survey of Mental Health and Wellness issues of students at NHCC and outline the resources at NHCC designed to meet student needs.
April 5, 8:00pm-9:10pm Youth Homelessness and Hunger Rev. Rachel Morey Rev. Rachel is heavily committed to combating youth homelessness, hunger in the Brooklyn Park area. She approaches the issues of juvenile homelessness and hunger in a straight-forward, take action way.
April 12, 10:00am-10:50am Room ES 36 Finding a Place to Talk: An inside Look at Therapy Jennifer Bucan, MA, LPCC This workshop will explore what therapy is like, different types of therapy and how to find a therapist that is a good fit for you.
May 7, 12:00-12:50pm Room ES 36 Integrated Health and Acupuncture Kristianne Seelye, M.Ac.O.M., L.Ac., Dipl O.M. This workshop will explain and demonstrate acupuncture and other complimentary medicine approaches.
